Dia de los Muertos and Halloween… what could these two different cultural celebrations have in common?

Come enjoy this fun fall twist on our Theology on Tap series with free tacos, margaritas, and live music. Join us at the National Museum of Mexican Art, located at 1852 West 19th Street, on Monday, October 22 to learn more about the Catholic roots and connections between these two holidays and to hear the powerful conversion story of a local Chicagoan. Art exhibits highlighting identity and culture will be open from 6-7 p.m. and live music will last until 10 p.m.

This event is open to anyone between the ages of 21-39.

National Conference on Catholic Youth Ministry (NCCYM) 2018
NCCYM is the largest gathering of Youth Ministry leaders in the country. This semi-annual conference gathers those who minister to youth from all over the country for prayer, networking, professional development, formation, and fun! This year’s NCCYM will take place in Tampa, FL from December 6-8, with pre-conference opportunities beginning December 5th.

Bring a priest for FREE! NCCYM has a special opportunity available. If you purchase a registration at full price, you can register a priest for free! This is a great way to have your pastor, chaplain, or priest learn more about youth ministry and the important ways they can support the work of youth ministry in your community.
 
Fortify Youth Conference, November 3 in St. John, IN
Fr. Ron Galea (our TOT Kickoff speaker) and Sr. Alicia Torres (a sister from the community of Our Lady of the Angels Mission here in Chicago) highlight and amazing day of prayer, music, speakers, and faith at the Fortify Youth Conference in St. John, IN. Inheritance 2018 YA Conference in Milwaukee, WI on November 10
Brew City Catholic (which is the young adult ministry initiative for the Archdiocese) has sponsored a Young Adult Conference in the past. This year it has decided to plan Inheritance 2018, which is a conference specifically for young adults. It will be held on Saturday, November 10th. This conference will be similar to Encounter Conferences organized by Steubenville. It will have a similar energy/conference feel, but offer different types of workshops, keynotes, etc. that help participants take a deeper dive into the content of the day. Find out more at https://archmil.regfox.com/inheritance-2018
Young Adult Forum – Registration is Open and a Call for White Papers
The Young Adult Forum is a semi-annual gathering of young adult ministry leaders from all over the country. This year’s Forum will focus on “the Moment”. This two-day Forum, designed for those who minister to young adults at all levels, will allow attendees to dialogue with national leaders integral to the Synod, the V Encuentro, and the National Dialogue, as well as young adult ministry peers applying insights to local efforts. Registration is now open, cost to attend the Forum is $60/person. The Forum is a pre-conference to NCCYM and can be attended separately or as part of the NCCYM conference.
