This workshop will be facilitated by
Dr. Mary Amore
Through prayer, reflection and praxis, participants will explore what it means to be an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist in the 21st Century. In Session One there will be a brief overview of the history and theology of the Eucharist. We will also explore the development of the role of the laity in the liturgical life of the Church. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences of Eucharist and worship with one another. Session Two will address the call to ministry and what it means to be a Minister of the Eucharist in the Church of today’s world.
Dr. Mary Amore holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Liturgy and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Catholic Theological Union. Dr Amore is the author of Primary Symbols of Worship and the Call to Participation, as well as numerous articles on ministry and Spirtuality. Mary is highly sought after presenter of workshops, parish missions, and retreats. Married and the mother of two young adults, Mary is the Executive Director of Mayslake Ministries in Lombard.
