Sr. Jane Schlosser
Those who minister to the sick and dying need time to care for themselves as well. Promoted by our Late Cardinal George, this Apostolate of Suffering Workshop will explore the sanctity and value of redemptive suffering through prayer, advocacy and education, with a specific focus on illness, the physically challenged, and end of life care.
As Pope Francis has written, “The Cross of Christ invites us all to allow ourselves to be smitten by His love, teaching us always to look upon others with mercy and tenderness, especially those who suffer, who are in need of help, who need a word or concrete action; the cross invites us to step outside ourselves to meet them and to met them and to extend a hand to them.”
Sr. Jane Schlosser is a Sister of Mercy whose ministerial experience includes: Teaching, Religious Education, Liturgical Work, Sacramental Work, Pastoral Work, and Retreat Work. She has also done pastoral work in the parish setting and been director of formation for her community. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Master’s in Religious Education, a certificate in Spiritual Direction and a Doctorate in Ministry.
